Yeah, I know about Fulham and their 5 Americans. Out of those who follow the Premier League here, Fulham has a dedicated following.

It would have been nice to see an American play on an English team besides the Cottagers :p

Juve picked up Olaf Mellberg.

Ah bollocks. I rate Mellberg good gritty player.

There has been a fair few Tim Howard and Brad Friedal I know their both goalies but good at what they do. Claudio Reyna was around a few seasons back. I remember when there was only one American in top flight English football John Harkes at Sheffield Wednesday.

Saying that not a big fan of Fulham the bastards put my team out the Prem three seasons ago, mind you all we had to do was draw and we would of kept up our team played on the day and they punished us. Another nine years of Championship misery :)

we needed some grit, a la old school davids, this is a great pick-up.

i see Juve in the CL next year, especially with Trezeguet's form this year. and what more can you ask for after last year's debacle.

More of a Paolo Montero than Davids imo. Can be a useful addition...

His a top defender no questions about that, not a Villa fan but I've always rated him.

What happened to old Montero. Only watch a couple of Seria A games a season even though they show them live here in the UK. Laura Esposito is the only reason I watch it :stongue:

I was thinking of Sissoko with that Davids comment.

Olof is definitely a great gritty defender too.

both fantastic signings, our defense hasn't been that great this year and that was a good working of the market to get out there and shore it up.

Sissoko and fantastic signings are not something I thought I'd ever hear in the same breath.

end of story

I must be one of the few Americans who has left the country. I've seen outside our borders, and I liked what I saw.
