so not that i can top off what many experienced in Montreal for Sasha and Digweed, but i managed to get out and check out one of my favourite producers, spin a live set while in Edinburgh this past Saturday.
To start off were a couple of the Edinburgh local djs. Pure prog beats- even heard one of those over played Deadmau5 tracks- kinda cool hearing it outside of Toronto. The local boys were really good, got the party starting on a high note.
At 1am, along came Mark Knight to open for Sebastien. I have never had the opportunity to see him play. GET DOWN. His track selection to me personally was very commercial sounding. Don't get me wrong, his mixing was well, but he did build up and drop at the same spots in each song. It became a little repetitive. I think this is because i was dying for Sebastien to get on.
Bam! 2:55am (weird set times) On comes Leger. Full of energy, enthusiasm and sik beats. HIT GIRL mixed into Around the WORLD.... non stop twistedness with a touch of bleep! Typical Leger styles. Bad clock- the room went mental. He was so into everything he was playing, dancing around, smiling bouncing and never loosing the crowd. However, i did get lost in the songs a couple times, but that is only because he sound mesmerizes me! WOW!
I was pooped. Left 15 minutes before he finished (thinking he'd be on longer) but being in Edinburgh, cabs take FOREVER to grab- which it did.
Party vibe was an A+ for me, bit different then Toronto (honestly, we're a little wilder) lol... but everyone was there for beats and beats were definitly delivered!
And now i've seen Sebastien Leger! I am Happy! :D :D

Glad u got to hit up a good party there. Mark Knight also played in Lush in Portrush, NI last night. We were in town, but just stayed in at a friend's place. Its crazy how many gigs some of these dj's have to pull off in a night. On boxing night, Marco V & Armin both had to play 3 separate parties in the UK, plane or helicopter hopping in between.
