I'd be interested in hearing a DT @ Avalon review from last night....
Avalon closing - no surprise
The folks running Avalon have serious IRS issues - no surpise
The only real question is what will happen to that space?
NOTE: There is a loophole. If the US Government seizes the property, they could get a waiver on the historical building designation and have the place repaved for a new building... interesting thought... |

Where you there? I'd love to get an opinion from a neutral source who was there in person. :) I'm wondering how long he played. I've heard from a number of folks the club itself was a complete disaster - no toilet paper, awful staff, drinks, and they stopped serving at one point. Goat Rodeo.... thank god for small parties with better dj's and vibe ;)

last time i was at avalon there was to tee pee and i was like WTF!!! |

me personally i say this all the time
i cant stand that club but this is like the 10th closeing in the past 4 years
in a few months they will open back up with a big opening party with a big dj and then after that it will go downward like it always does
as for new years party i was not there i was at pacha (which calderone was rediccccccc:crazy: )
but i was texting a friend who was at avalon he said danny was on point but everything else was wack and i heard the party either got shut down or danny just stoped at like 2pm |

i been reading a lot of same stories from people that were there. the music was amazing but the venue sucked. its a real shame about that club because it is absolutely amazing as a venue. |

to me it is an amazing venue. (After all I spent so many years there growing up. :toocool: ) i think as a club it should be a city land mark. |

Its pretty well confirmed that the owner of Pacha bought Avalon to open Pacha #2, but for teens only.
