:wtf: which robbie nelson were YOU watching!? he was the most charismatic one to play (downey was good too)-- at one point, he lowered the channel fader on the playing track, got the crowd to scream, then lifted the fader again with his ing NOSE.
that's officially awesome!
really Great night: good sound, pretty good crowd, i liked the lower amount of people (tho it sucks for the crew that lost their spots, or had to shorten them): and yeah! just gettin home now: was maaaaad fun :) |

Had a good night but that was mostly due to the great company. Have to say I don't really like The Metro as a venue at all. I didn't really check out downstairs much but the rest of the club still looks very average to me.
I am also puzzled by the small selection of drinks that were available. VB only for beer? It was pretty strange.
Saw a lot of people get kicked out and I tell you those security guards don't muck around. It was quite scary to watch.
Music I heard in the main room was great and I thought the production was very flash too. As always the Interview room was heaps of fun.
So great to catch up with you guys. |

, that was such an amazing night of music!! Well done to KRS for the set up and putting on a perfect event.
I heard so many massive BOMBS, I struggled to hard to contain myself. And I'll happily admit Robbie Nelson's ending had me in tears.
Each DJ played such unique sets too, I was so impressed by the consistency from Bolier, Nelson and Downey.
It was awesome to catch up with the regulars (you know who you are) and meeting new people too :D
I really hope that future KRS events are like this, because the vibe, crowd, setup and music were bliss.
Tracks I can ID:
Tomcraft
Nathan Fake - Outhouse
Tocadisco - Walking Away
Leon Bolier
Rank 1 - Analog Feel (Possibly a remix Bolier has done?)
Wardt - Show My Shuffle
Leon Bolier - Summernight Confessions
Leon Bolier - Ocean Drive Boulevard
Sied van Riel - What You Want (maybe?)
Joop - The Future
Artic Monkeys - When the sun goes down (Sander van Doorn remix) mash up with Interstate's Remember Me
Duderstadt feat Anita Kesley - Smile (Duderstadt dub mix)
Robbie Nelson
-if anyone can ID the second track he played, I will love you forever!! It was beautiful!!!
Solarstone - Rain stars eternal (Agnelli & Nelson remix)
Cold Blue & Del Mar - 11 Days (Sebastian Brandt remix)
Lemon & Einar K - Anticipation
Cosmic Gate - Body of Conflict
First State feat Anity Kelsey - Falling
Agnelli & Nelson - Holding Onto Nothing
John O'Callaghan - Big Sky (Agnelli & Nelson remix)
Solarstone - Seven Cities
Greg Downey
Ernesto & Bastian - Thrill
Second Sun - Playgrounds (Nu NRG remix)
The Prodigy - No good (Start the dance)
Bedrock - Heaven Scent (Greg Downey remix)
Strangis Vs Trent McDermott
Lost Witness feat Tiff Lacey - Home (Natlife remix)
Stoneface & Terminal - Inner Voice (Dub mix)

Really disturbed to hear that there was an incident between TA members and that people got hurt. I saw the back end of it and it looked rather nasty. I hope that everyone involved is OK

yeah, had a lot of fun. the renovated metro looks pretty good, and the production in the main room was top notch.
highs:
- robbie nelson was excellent. played uplifting tunes from start to finish, and looked to be having a good time up there.
- contrary to others, i thought tomcraft was pretty good. really enjoyed his early set.
- catching up with jolz and duncan, who i haven't seen in ages. great to see you and have a boogie for old times' sake, guys!
- crowd. generally pretty friendly and up for it.
lows:
- maybe i'm getting old (!!), but i thought most DJs after tomcraft played at a higher BPM than usual? especially Downey, who seemed like he was banging it out at about 150. just couldn't dance to that :( great tunes, but waaaaay too hard.
- VB only for beer, as charlee said, WTF?
- perhaps the slightly smaller crowd didn't have the damping effect expected, but i thought the sound was a little bit 'boomy' in the main room, now that there's no carpet in there at all.
all in all, a good night. great to see some old faces :) |
