basically kikuyu president runs for re-electon and his main opponent is a luo. took 3 days for the votes to be counted...luo was FAR ahead in the beginning but at the end he supposedly lost. luos are claiming they were cheated and blame all kikuyus -> kenya turning into a hot mess.

I care more about Kenyan history. Why are these two tribes together, if there's so much hate? It's been 40 years already! If they really can't get along, can't they declare independence from one another or something?

So was Zimbabwe at one point until everything got nationalised, then we lost everything there and the world still sits back doing nothing but 'tsk tsk'. (Its probably because they don't have any oil, democracy and stability gets enforced by people capable of doing something if you've got oil... if you just grow food they don't care ;))
Kenya was a bit of a shock though I must admit, it's fairly hard to get unbiased news out of Africa by Africans and the western sources only cover the bad things happening.

I get up every morning about 6, workout for about 1hr, shower, makeup and at work sometime around 9-ish. Today I'm working from home though so I get a spare hour before I have to actually do something.

, that reminds me, I have work today at 9 too. Perhaps I shouldn't have stayed up all night listening to Adam Beyer and downloading Jeff Mills sets?

colonial footprint brought them together...no idea about the dislike. i didn't think they hated each them so much, i think people just went about their business se[arately. even here in the US can't say i know people from other tribes well just kikuyus. if you talk to my mom who has lived in the US since she was 19 there is still that "those people" type mentality. she doesn't dislike them but there is definitely a feeling of they are different.
