this is good and im going to play it out. especially the b side on that record ... "stars". if 2007 could be wrapped up in one word it would be "dark". things keep getting darker, its hard to find good ol' happy songs anymore, everything is so serious and trippy and druggy.

Well, a lot of tracks in the late 80s had that kind of vocals (especially those of "italo" genres (49ers - Touch Me)), and since the title is Everyday It's 1989 I believe it's some kind of tribute to that music, rather than pure rip off (Moby already did that in 1993 with Move (You Make Me Feel So Good)).

I like it. I'll be welcoming this new shift in Moby's sound since his latest mellow-Pop-ish albums ("18" and "Hotel" are good, but not quite "Play" good).
Moby did release a EDM album recently, under the Voodoo Child alias. It's called "Baby Monkey", was released in 2003, and is actually quite good...

This is really good. It sounds like the stuff Moby produced in the very beginning, which was arguably his best. No wonder he calls the album a love letter to the late-80s New York dance music.
The second single is out now, and pretty damn good too:
I'm looking forward to the album on the basis of these two.
