Absolutely not - if anything this only serves as further proof of the fact that Blake is one of the most versatile DJ's jogging the face of the planet right now, and the fact that he's one of very, very few DJ's out there who is still capable of surprising me.

Yes, we are - and as a whole, I think the vast majority of MWTA's do - which is part of why it's great to live here and be a part of this scene.

So I know this is a "live set" and you're probably not looking for any real criticism, etc. - but I listened to it, so now you get to put up with what I think of it. :p

These are the two parts of the set that really, really worked for me:

01. Martin Buttrich - Hunted
02. Marc Houle - Techno Vocals
03. Troy Pierce - 25 Bitches (Gaiser Remix)
04. Barem - So Serial
05. Valentino Kanzyani - Twisted Movement
06. Mowbray and Sullivan - Tropical Heights (Ink and Needle Remix)

I didn't know what I'd think of "Hunted" starting off a set - I've kind of been playing it later on in sets/mashing it up, so I was interested to see how this flowed from the beginning. That Gaiser remix if one of my favorites right now, and the mix from "Techno Vocals" into it really played well.

The next few tunes didn't really do it for me - just kind of lost interest for a little bit. No big deal, just wasn't my cup of tea.

But then...

13. Robert Nickson - Narc (Simon and Shaker Remix)
14. Sasha - Park It In The Shade
15. Steve Lawler - Courses For Horses

16. Simon and Shaker - Naco
17. ID - ID
18. Blake Jarrell - Animal
19. Tracey Thorn - Grand Canyon (Dirty South Remix)

...was really, really ing epic to end things. Particularly of note are the tracks in bold, because I genuinely dislike all three of them on their own - not hate, but just couldn't find my stride with them. On the other hand, in this set - they all work beautifully.

Really enjoyed this for the most part, Blake - great tunes to study for my exam to, thanks for sharing.

Now onto Ben & Sen... :thepirate

Edit: Blake, also stay tuned to your inbox tomorrow :)
