i posted in the stickied events thread asking if there's anything cool going on in Charlotte on Jan 25th-26th. well, i don't really mind if there's anything sweet going on, but are there any cool bars/clubs/restaurants worth checking out?
i'll be in town that weekend visiting my best friend and his newborn nephew, and since he's not from around there i'm just curious if anyone knows any spots we could chill at.

That must be a popular weekend. I'm having a TA friend from NYC come down that few days you know. You should drive to enjoy the rest of the shenanigans, Myra. :) |

I like The Forum. The Lava Lounge at Eden is also a nice place to check out. Scorpios is a BIG gay club that has been the place for all of the Baby Anne massives. Otherwise, there are lots of Hip-Hop clubs, and a Jazz night (on Thursdays) at the hotel across the street from The Forum.
You should check out Central Records, if you get a chance. If I'm in town that weekend I'll join you at my favorite vinyl shop ;) |
