its a special ball with a magnet in it, and there is one in the cup. You can see the way the balls makes a sharp dip into the cup on each bounce.

That'd have to be a ridiculously powerful magnet.
I think an easier explanation for the dip would be the fisheye lens that's the trademark of the skater vid.
Being a pro skater in Corona in a huge house, I'd imagine he probably has more free time that he knows what to do with. :)
