Bio
Taking his name by predicting the finish of horse races in 'exacta' bets, the rising star started out as a hip-hop DJ from Queens, gracing the turntables for celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Heidi Klum and P Diddy. It wasn't long before Exacta went from hip-hop to house, quickly gaining notoriety and emerging as one of the most talked about house DJs, playing alongside the likes of Erick Morillo, Pete Tong, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, and Armand Van Helden. His success has taken him all over the world, spinning everywhere from his Pacha(NYC) Residency to Godskitchen(UK) to Space(Miami), Bon Bon (Shanghai), and Fly (Toronto), showcasing a sublime selection of upfront house that spans everything from deep to tribal to tech cuts in breathtaking and daring sets.

| I was very very very pleasantly surprised with TOUCH last night, extremely surprised. Yes, it is that well-dressed, velvet-rope type place they described it as, which usually draws some rolling of the eyes, especially on my part. The bottle whore and gold-digger consistency was DEF there. However, if they keep it up with some good bookings and solid DJs like last night, I could see it becoming a really cool house venue, and I personally wouldn't mind getting dressed up every once in a while to enjoy it. All these ritzy spots have mashups and hip hop and rock, so it was def a lot of fun to see that kinda crowd and atmosphere really go crazy to house music, and good house music at that, Exacta played a top-notch set from what I heard for 2 hours. I would definitely go back to TOUCH, and I could see names like Guetta, Roger Sanchez, Axwell, etc., playing there, I'd love to see someone make that happen. And FYI, TOUCH = the old T-NY. There didn't seem to be even 1% of the bull we had when it was T-NY, despite it being the same owners, so I think they've made a change for better, let's hope they keep it up. Bartenders were cool, drinks were great, and even though a couple dollars more than most other spots, the drinks were double the amount than the other spots too, not to mention less-ice, and better-made.... GOOD TIMES! |
