Car Electronics Upgrades

I'm searching the web high and low to get info on installing some parts on my car. Wondering if there are any e46 convertible owners out there in TA land who can help find/install the following items:

- OEM navigation system retrofit
- OEM bluetooth retrofit

I wish the car has those packages stock because I'm learning now how bloody complicated it is to get those things installed (I wanted the stock BMW equipment for personal taste reasons--the stock stuff looks very understated and simple).

Otherwise I'm sure there are tons of people out there who have aftermarket navigation systems installed on their cars with touch-screen, double-din (big screen), bluetooth-ready, iPod adapters, etc. etc. etc.

TOTA, what cool technologies do you have installed on your cars (or want to install)?

lol been doing that for about 6 months!

I've got a private deal with someone in southern Florida that might work out...ROAD TRIP!!! :)

But srsly, I'd rather buy everything and get the work done here, in case there are any problems, and there's not much of a local market for the stuff I'm interested in. :(

When we get a new car, the only gadget I really want in there is a GPS. Save us a lot of arguments when going on road trips hahaha :p

*edit*

And one of those remote car starters!

I'm with ya Fufu! I prefer stock OEM stuff too for my Yaris.

It just "suits" it more naturally IMO.

I dunno, I just like and want the actual Toyota accessories for my Toyota Yaris.

I do pay more bc of that, but in the end I'm happiest with how it all looks on my vehicle when its OEM. Personal taste reasons FTW!

I wish I could have gotten a stock GPS unit with my Yaris (lol, GSP in a basic entry level car, makes even me laugh, but i truly wish I had one).

I saw the look and feel of the Toyota GPS unit that comes w/ the Tunda... and it was brilliant. Liked it alot more than the one in my dad's new Tribeca, as well as the ones I checked out a couple years ago when buying my dad one for his Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I have a Treo 680 w/ TomTom Navigation 6 (Red Light Camera + Speed Traps POI alerts)

I've tested a lot of OEM Navigations, and they stink!

I would love to get a DVD deck that has an SD Card slot & USB Direct port for a pHD
