NAMM is a tradeshow where manufacturers set up booths and the guests are salespeople and store owners. Like SEMA, but with music gear and software. |
I was taking the piss

... I'll take that to mean that you were joking. :D (honestly, at first I took it literally)
In that case I'll hit the *Ion booth and see if any DJ's will spin it live.:tongue2 |

Shoot, and I'm just transitioning to Seattle! Family is still down there, so it's still my 'hometown'. Would've been fun to collab.
Spectrasonics, noted. |
That's too bad - when are you moving? Seattle's a great town. My wife and I have several good friends there and we actually almost moved there a few years ago when she got offered a job, but the timing was no good for us.
Anyway, can you also stop by the Waldorf booth and check out the new Blofeld synth? Thanks! |

Yes please I've got a burning question..
It's for M-Audio....
Something along the lines of, "when the **** are you going to release NON-BETA, heck, ANY, 64-bit drivers for say.. all of your products?!"
It's been almost 3 years (in March) since they released beta drivers for my Audiophile Firewire for XP64 and they never went non-beta. I'd genuinely like to know if it's going to take them another 3 god damn years to release Vista 64-bit beta drivers only for them to abandon them and never release non-beta drivers? :whip:
Their webpage says "At this time, no M-Audio devices or divers are supported under Windows Vista 64-bit.... but please rest assured that supporting Vista is a top priority for us". I'd like to know how something that is truly a "top priority" takes over a year to get around to (they've only just released 32-bit drivers for one of their most popular product lines -- the delta cards). Especially when you consider that as a hardware vendor they should have had drivers in development for at least a few months prior to Vistas release like all the other manufacturers did.
Drivers for their products are the ONLY thing stopping me from jumping to Vista 64-bit currently, and have been for months now.... why is it that all the other hardware vendors can do it, but they can't?... hopeless.
Yeah :haha: |

Alright, I'm flying out early, any other questions you want me to ask that would otherwise NOT be in a press-release or in standard web coverage? i.e.: "Hey Spectrasonics, why make us wait 8 months for your supersynth?" or "How's the gui for the Access Snow?"
I can check tomorrow night as well.:toothless |

Can you ask Access if any of the annoying bugs will be fixed with the new OS? Like stuck notes, pops and clicks, unstable LFOs, going out of tune and losing sync... :) |

Oooh, I thought of something you could check out.. I'd like to know if Access have any plans for the TI's arp, i.e. the features and interface of the arp in VC (it's terrible), it seems to be quite a popularly requested improvement/update/change on their various fan webpages. Meh..
Have fun dude! :) |
