Help with Reverb fx

I am trying to create a reverb effect on my bassline where the reverb only kicks on as a note is released. So basically the bassline won't lose it's phatness and a cool little reverb effect is heard after each bass note.
I have seen this done with "fruity verb" maybe?? But I use Cubase so if anyone knows how to do it (or knows what the hell I'm on about), any help would be sweet... |

I'm assuming you know how to sidechain.
Create an FX channel, use a reverb effect for it. Then apply a sidechain compressor after the reverb in the inserts of the FX channel. Use the bassline as a trigger for the compressor. Turn up the FX send of the bassline. |

My new years resolution is to stop overusing the sidechain ;) Thanks for that. Makes sense. Will give it a go as soon as I get home.... |
