Sick of all the cameras, klieg lights and no-fun police outside of
Manhattan nightspots? Well, escape to Brooklyn, where the new party
"Verboten" brings the best indie/electro/rock to venue Studio B.
Tonight, ghetto tech bad boys Radioclit and vowel- hating Toronto
natives VNDLSM headline. Radioclit's breakout hit "Mature Macho
Machine" is still tearing up dance floors everywhere alongside their
remixes for Bonde Do Role, Lily Allen, No Surrender and TV on the
Radio. VNDLSM's mash-ups are near omnipresent in any good DJ's crates
these days, due to their spot-on ability to transform pop songs from
mainstream artists like Rihanna, Beyonce, Timbaland and Whitney into
noisy, electro madness for the masses.
Rounding out the bill is Verboten resident Van Scott and his DJs Are
Not Rockstars partner Alexander Technique. Arrive early for a very
special live performance by the band I Love You Airlines. Hosted by
nightlife legend Sohia Lamar, June D., and Finger on the Pulse. Door
