Who's in?

Based on the trust I have in Gregor and Carey, I have little doubt this will be an excellent night music-wise.

That said, for those of us who have never heard of Eli Wilkie (which I assume is 99% of the people here), what's his deal? Why should people go?

Bio:

Eli Wilkie is truly one of America's most exciting and fast rising DJ/Production talents. From his humble beginnings as resident of Boston's underground Hibernia Nightclub, to traveling the world with Steve Porter, Eli is definitely one to watch. Eli brings a fresh and exciting approach to dance music by fusing his signature charisma and party rockin ethics to bring to the dancefloor his 'signature' funky electrifying house music. Eli has spent the last 6 years creating some of the most exciting dance music to come out of America. Under the Agent 001 moniker, Eli and production partner Steve Porter have released over 20 tracks, like 'Daniel Wiggy' which was featured on Lee Burridge's '24/7' compilation and 'Bubble Bath' which was featured on Sandra Collins' 'Perfecto' CD and Hernan Cantenneo's 'Renaissance Masters Series CD'. These tunes were regulars on Pete Tong's Essential Mix show. On his own Eli has released 5 tracks and his latest track 'D'Vibin' was featured on Steve Porter's 'Porterhouse' compilation. Eli also produces with rising star Emjae under the 'Plow and Hearth' moniker, released on his label Reversible Records.

Eli currently lives in his hometown of Boston, where he was the resident of the world famous Avalon Nightclub. At Avalon, Eli has played along such International DJ's as Sander Kleinenberg, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Junkie XL, Tiesto, Nick Warren, Nic Fancuilli and many many more. Recently Avalon has closed for renovations, and Eli has found a new residency at The Estate where he has already jumped on the decks along side Sander, DJ Dan and Oscar G. Aside from Avalon and The Estate, Eli is constantly booked to headline at clubs like RISE Afterhours (Boston), Stereo (Montreal), Avalon - Hollywood (Los Angeles), Ruby (San Francisco), Le Souk, Sullivan Room and Love (NYC) and various locations in Miami during WMC. Eli also spent much of 2006 and 2007 as the support DJ for Steve Porter on his 'Porterhouse' CD tour in many of North America's top clubs.

Living in Boston, Eli has played an integral role in the growth of the Boston dance music scene through the creation of Reversible Records with Fernando Bairos and Chris Reavey, two of Boston's respected music aficionados. Over the past 5 years, Reversible has established itself as one of America's hottest labels with over 16 releases from cutting-edge producers; Emjae, Chris Micali, Bon Johnson, Aaryn Blain, Matt Rowan, Agent 001, Roger Lee and Nightriders. This labels carefully chosen music has received support from DJs like Luke Fair, Lee Burridge, Sander Kleinenberg, Nick Warren and Desyn Masiello. Reversible Records had 8 tracks on Steve Porter's critically acclaimed 'Porterhouse' compilation released on Fade Records. The Reversible Records crew is committed to pushing cutting-edge house music, and it is this quality of which it is associated with has helped cement it as one of the premier American underground dance labels.

Reversible Records has expanded itself as a club brand by establishing residencies and club nights of which Eli has focused on. Reversible Records has also taken its 'club night' to Boston, Montreal, Los Angeles, Toronto and Miami for its sellout Winter Music Conference showcase. Reversible Records has a busy next few months with some big releases in addition to its radio show on Proton, Eli is committed to pushing the Reversible sound to the forefront.

I'm really looking forward to it - Eli is always top-notch. I'd go as far to say that he stole the show at Porterhouse in Stereo last year. :D

See you all tomorrow.
