Seven (which i think you are referring to) i can totally see doing a Compression party or Droog party or something like that. Republic is a restaurant/lounge that caters to the Hollywood crowd. I just find it an interesting booking for a friday nite....

this may be one of the very few EDM gigs i'll attend this month...

SEVEN!!! gracias!!!

nice venue... i see your point now!

TROY MO FACKIN PEIRCE!!!

I forget which one of them said this...but they're promoting their own events. Doing it the way they want and just kind of hopping from venue to venue, sort of like their Temporary Spaces parties. They really liked Seven, they might end up there again.

I'll be there. Big up to the Droog boyz.

Matt (the manager) really knows what he's doing!!

I'd like to see them head back to SeVeN also...

but would definately like to check out this venue!

*edit* Justin Sloe is the !!

He's not really their manager. I'd say "DJing Life Coach" is more apt... :stongue: :stongue: :p

Konrad @ Seven was the . Great party, and an even better after party. Droog knows how to party, and throw them equally well too. Kinda weird that they're throwing it at these "mainstream" Hollywood venues, but for me it's all about the music, and the crowds that usual follow know why they're there. Definitley not your cheesy, Avalon crowd, or the Sunset Stripe douche bags. I've never been to Republic, but if it's anything like Seven, the reason they chose it is because this music sounds much better in a smaller loungey area versus a huge club. Anyway, super stoked, can't wait.

Indeed. I love smaller venues...you get a much better connection between DJ and crowd, and that works perfectly for their parties because they have such a fantastic following of techno heads who are just ing DOWN.

This should be a great night.
