Mixing with PCV 275

Anyone else find this mixer hard to use, due to it's lack of full kills on the EQ's? it only goes as low as -16db, and although it does have kill switches, i still find it hard to get a "clean" and "tidy" mix.
Further, does anyone actually change their mixing style to suit mixers that don't have full kills? |

| im not sure it should make to much difference if they have full kills or not |

pwned :(
To answer the original poster's question, I have this mixer at home, I don't have any trouble with it, and I've mixed on Denon's, Pioneers, A & H, all kinds of things.
Perhaps, as you said, you need to modify your mixing style slightly? |

| the older verion is much better (pcv 175). I once traded 275 for a 175. i found the 275 useless. |

I've always found the 275 an absolute dream to use. The cut on the eq is enough to mix smoothly but not too much that it gives that tinny sound, thats what the kill switches are for.
With regards to mixing style, I've found that over the years I've used so many mixers that my mixing style almost automatically moulds itself to the particular bit of kit im using, without really thinking about it. |

really? i found the 175 just a bit rubbish never really felt as solid as the 275.
this is based entirely on my experience on my mates one which had been battered to , so it might be a bit skewed but my 275 has received a not too dissimilar beating over the years and has certainly come out a lot better than the 175. |
