Am I gay? How do I add books? God, I've never felt like a huge newb such as this.

On the right side of the "Home" page there's a green link that says "add more books." You can search for the book you want, then click on the "Add" icon when you find it.

Or you can just use the "search" thing at the top right.

  • Simple Way: Use the search box in the top right corner

  • More detailed way:
    1. Go to my books
    2. Look for "Add more"

Also, don't forget to add Lira as your friend :D

Oh...well I did that...I got no results for Atlas Shrugged.

That's kinda ghey...I want to add a book that I doubt anyone else has read, or has even heard of.

Are any of you on Goodreads? It's a site for listing books you've read and how you liked them, seeing what people you know are reading, posting reviews, and commenting on reviews written by others:

http://www.goodreads.com/

If you aren't on there and you like books, you should join and be my friend. :gsmile:

You should post something other than worthless pics on the thread I started. But I can understand you're mentally challenged. Get real... be my book buddy?

:wtf:

The one by Ayn Rand - http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/662.Atlas_Shrugged?

(I've never read it, by the way, did you like it?)

Yeah nevermind, I'm just a dummy.

And yes, I loved it. I had a crush on it I loved it so much, no joke. Really changed my mind about certain things in such subtle, yet important ways.
MrJiveBoJingles
Yeah, I searched for "atlas shrugged" and that was the first result:

I've read the book. It's okay. The plot keeps you interested, but the characters other than Dagny come off really flat to me, and I don't care much for the philosophy. A majority of the book has a really didactic tone.

di·dac·tic (d-dktk) also di·dac·ti·cal (-t-kl)
adj.
1. Intended to instruct.
2. Morally instructive.
3. Inclined to teach or moralize excessively

You guys are reading too much. Go pick up some chicks...

Silly ape: reading books will help you pick up the best kind of chicks. ;)

I just liked the way she integrated her philosophy through the characters and their personal moral struggles. I was pretty much hooked after the first few pages when the whole accountability thing came into play.

I liked the way it was written in that it wasn't pretentious or wind-baggy (except for the John Galt chapter, lol). Like, her ideas are really clear in the book...I don't like writers who try too hard to be elusive or whatever *cough*UmbertoEco*cough*.

The egotism got to be a bit much though.

But yeah, I loved it.
