Actually, only 1/4 of that money goes to military personnel. Missile defense systems and F-22 Raptors are not cheap.


In 06 we spent $419.3 billion on defense, and $56 billion on education.


I'll let people draw whatever conclusions they'd like from that...

which is why the USAF fired (or is the in process of firing) a lot of people. less people to pay = more money for planes.

yup. so now we have expensive equipment, and less people to work with. it's awesome.

and, overall, yes. however, it depends on career field. obviously, there are more females in the technical fields (weather, science, etc...) rather than the "brute" fields (security forces, maintenance, etc...).

in my weather shop, however, there's only one female that i'm allowed to date (but like 9 who are enlisted...sucks).

In Iraq while in the Army i once went 4 months without speaking to a female in person, maybe an iraqi female but not American...

Thats what a combat unit will do..
