| Stateoftrance....i used to go to SF on Sat nites all the time btwn jan of 99 and jan of 00.....the last time i went was to JP's b-day bash in jan of 00 and i vowed to never step foot in that place after that party....bc it sucked...and even people I know that still go to SF today still say that party that nite sucked. And I've been going to Twilo since May of 99....so I've spent a decent amount of time in both clubs and by far the better club is Twilo. Their sound system far beats factorys....you cant get better then the Phazon digital system! At SF your ears ring from sitting in front of the speakers and they pump the musik soo unbelievably loud the bass distorts. You say that SF doesn't pump the musik the same on a friday nite...and that may be true I've only been to Sf once on a friday and it sucked...but I can assure you that Twilo's system is pumping everynite that club is open. Friday by far draws a bigger crowd then just junior on a sat nite at twilo. Juniors begun to loose his big following and mostly just the old junior-ites still attend juniorverse...thats why Twilo has added more european DJ's to the line up on Sat nites before JR spins. But I digressed. One thing I will give SF is that they throw some crazy theme parties. The club takes on a completely different look for that nite. But you say that JP spins soo much trance.....he spins mostly house...progressive, hard, vocal. I'll give you that he'll throw in some trance here and there....when I was a SF head he used to spin matt darey...pvd's remix of cream....but nothing cutting edge as far as trance goes. And should we even mention the amount of equipment JP's got up in the brand new booth of his?! Does the man even deejay anymore? Right now JP's focus seems to be krystal and spinning the longest sets in NYC.... And I'd rather here the line-ups at Twilo for 6 or 7 hours spin quality trance and other genres then hear JP spin "filler" musik for 15+ hours. I'm not saying JP or SF is all bad....I used to love going to that place....it's got its good points....but I honestly feel that Twilo is just on a different level. You should definetely come check Twilo out....you might become hooked! =) |

| haha i know, i didnt mean to call him that. I didnt feel like editing it. Sorry ill go do that now! :D Anyway i hear what your saying. JP does mix alot of styles but i tend to like the mix up as long as he doesnt stay with say tribal or something like that too long. Im not really into that. He plays good house and trance. Yes vocals too but theres always room for vocals. :) Sometimes they get the crowd pumped the most. From what you guys have said i will definatally be hittin up Twilo soon. Yea one thing that i do remember about that place was the light show. I felt like i was trippin while i was in the middle of the floor.(I wansn't) So hopefully i'll see some of you guys there soon. Not this friday tho, im goin to the party at Limelight. |

When I go to NYC I prefer to go to TWILO (as most of my NYC friends do). It's all about the vibe, the DJ lineup and the tracks they slap me around with. I get to hear the music I enjoy and I get to see all my peeps. I have done some other places (EXIT - Yuck, Centro Fly - not too bad, Liquids - small but entertaining and some other more loungey type places) but TWILO keeps taking me back.
FOR TWILOGODDESS AND TWILOCHIK....are you not both from TWILO and CLUBPLANET boards??? If so...hey!!!

Not to sound politically incorrect, but what I heard about
Twilo is that there are many fags there. Is this true?
I never been to Twilo, but when I was planning to go
this fact kinda threw me off. |

Hey Lexxi...I used to post on clubnyc about two years ago but under a diff name...there's too much b.s. on that board so I headed out.
DJ Xtronic.....sat nite at twilo around around 5 or 6 am a dj junior vasquez spins for a party called juniorverse which is a gay party...but also plenty of euro dj's spin before him bringing in a "straight" crowd. Also friday nite is predominatly "straight"...but to be honest even at at the screamingly heterosexual factory on sat nites there are plenty of people who are gay that attend. Gay people attend all clubs in NYC...so if your trying to avoid people who are gay....good luck. |

First off jonathan peters is weak...i heard him on 92.7 lir 2 weeks ago and he was asked a question about tiesto and he said that tiesto had come in with his girlfriend and that she sang the song beautiful...now who is he kidding..that would be Matt darey wouldn't it?...Secondly, he spins mostly house and he has always dissed trance, but i guess now thats its popularity is rising he is now an "expert"(hardly). I have been to the factory and i realize that all you SF heads are true devotees but to be honest I don't think JP can spin trance and if he doesn't know the difference between tiesto and darey well...TA's you be the judge...but i will give him credit for one song..imagination 2000, nice tune..other than that he doesn't impress me and he definitely can't hang with the likes of Tiesto, Armin, PVD..etc.

i used to see some, but not as much anymore. fridays are pretty much str8. maybe the gay community is boycotting twilo after that lawsuit by the transvestite dancers... gotta admit, the gays that i saw last yr were kinda bold.. speaking from personal run-ins. haha. |

| Factory doesn't even compare to Twilo. Ppl go to Factory to get mangled & get laid period. They're soo ed up they don't even realize JP's is playing 45 mins of a whitney houston remix or 3 hours of montonous tribal. Twilo is for MUZIK Lovers. They have the best lineup in the U.S. Y would u want to see JP every wk...when u can see Sasha, Digweed, Pvd, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg etc. U ears will ring for days after factory... It's loud but its distorted bass. Twilo has amazing system & the SICKEST lazer lights shows. I used to go factory back in 97...every sat, it got old fast. I got sick of clubbing. I went to Twilo 3x this wk...I can't get enuff. The ppl are cool, friendly, musically educated. Ppl at Factory are juiceheads & sluts w/fake . Do u think anyone in europe knows bout Jonathan Peters? I didn't think so. btw, PVD was ININCREDIBLE ON FRI! The hardest freshest (new music) set i've heard from him. He played tech house, techno, break beats, prog house, epic;hard; prog trance all in 7 hours. |

So im clueless and ignorant. And you came to that conclusion how??? You think you know more about music than me??? And why, because you have seen more uk dj's spin than i have. haha now that is ignorant. I guarantee i have more, and better music than you, and get it sooner. I bet i know more about all the various types of electronic than you do. Just because i like the factory you seem to think you know more than me? Now THAT is retarted. I mean lets not forget, where twilo is now is where SF used to be. Obviously they knew where they were taking there club and they didnt see it happening in a in gymnasium. Like i said, im goin to Twilo soon and then ill get back to the people like you(well actually you are the only one with the attitude on here) and let you know whats up. Like i said before im sure ill have a good if not great time there so dont worry about me coming back to bash the place. I dont have time for that. Unlike you i am open to all types of music and venues to have the most fun possible. Isnt that what this is all about??? |

| Who said it was directed at u? "I know more bout music than u" HOW OLD ARE U?! I've been in this scene for 7 Years. I know lotta ppl who go to factory & say Twilo is the best club in NYC. Best Lineup, Sound System, & Vibe. It doesn't bother me that u go to factory but to argue factory is a better club just makes u look silly. Trust me I'm not worrying bout u having a good time...if I had lotta hitz & a jar of K I'm sure I'd have a great time at factory too. btw, I go to Twilo sober most of the time. |

I am simply defiending it from tight ass's like you who say it sucks, because it definately does not. Its a phat club, and i even said that i think i would enjoy myself at Twilo. So why dont you get your facts straight. Also, who the are you to assume im a drug addict. The only thing i do is drink and possibly drop e more in the future. I tripped one time, and if i do e more it would surely be in ration. I know what im doin, so dont worry about me. I have been goin to raves for years now and all the while i never did e. So take that drug reference somewhere else. Oh and by the way, are you trying to say that half the people in Twilo arent trippin in another land? haha thats pretty funny, considering you know the place so well. |
