What happened to Twilo? (pg. 2)

Yep, I was at Twilo for DT's marathon set WMC 07. He played some ground-shattering stuff.
Does anyone know if Stereo still has the Phazon sound system? |

nope.. gutted and theres a new dynacord system in place..
same system as space |

There are pics available from the opening night, google it.
I heard, and talk is cheap, that they kept the Phazon inside and added some speakers as well. I know for a fact one of the light walls is behind the DJ booth now... hopefully the other one is on the opposite wall. |

LED wall is behind the booth. Sound is the same Dynacord Cobra 4 system that Phazon installed, sans the huge subs, new subs are manufactured by Transparance in Canada. The reality was is that Phazon just installed a Dynacord rig and tweaked it. Nothing "magical" there. |

Wow, they really changed the name to Park West huh...
Do you know why it's not called Stereo anymore?
I thought the system was pretty "magical" last year... |

Apparently there was some legal wrangling with Stereo in New York.
The Friday night weekly retains the 'Stereo' moniker, though.
Not to defame the system, it sounded great in the Twilo days, but in my mind Phazon these days is more of a tuning company like Brabus is for Mercedes. They take a great product and give it the extra 10 percent.
Still sounds phenomenal by the way. I'm eagerly awaiting the conference events. |
