help with mixer decision...xone62 vs djm700
View this Thread in Original format
i got big pants
i really dont want this to turn into a pio vs a&h thread but i need help deciding between the two, or something comprable. i can get either one of these mixers at relatively the same price so its not that big of a deal. i wouldnt mind blowing the cash for the xone92 if i had the money, but even if i did, i really couldnt justify it.

my main concern is with the xone62 being relatively older, would the djm700 be a better overall mixer? since the xone is known for their sound quality, again since its older, will it sound crappier than the djm700?

did some digging on the interweb and found some people say that you can't do quick cuts with the studio style faders. any truth to this?

i'll have to make a decision in the next few days since im selling my current mixer and want to be able to spin. :(

Personally I'd be looking at a Xone 42 rather than the 62 - they've ironed out all of the many problems with the 62 and is designed much more with the DJ in mind. The only loss is that you only have one filter rather than 2, but that's a relatively minor issue imo - you've still got the filter!!

I think the xone 42 is only sold in the UK..

You can pre-order it from www.djdeals.com

You've been able to pre order it since november. Still no idea when it's actually going to be released. I was looking into getting it, but ended up getting a 32 cause I didn't need 4 channels and didn't want to wait an unknown length of time, and its working out great for me.

It really depends if you want effects or the A&H filter...
personally i like the feel of the pio mixers better tho.
