I need help choosing vst. I have already have vanguard and NI xpress keyboards. I have already tried demos of nexus, and gladiator, gladiator is not to my taste, and thinking towards nexus(which I know is a rompler. I would like to hear from any of you that have used any other vst's and recommend them. But I am looking for one that has load of presets ready to use, as I don't create much of my own sounds and something which has good leads, pads and bass sounds for trance. And also simple to use as well.
Any help appreciated!
echosystm
nexus, massive, fm8 & korg legacy analog

i dont use anything other than these. i have looked at a lot of other synths, and these seem to be the best imo.

First of all before you consider any commercial VSTi, you should download Synth1. It's a very powerful synth and it's free!
But don't expect good presets. The ones included are awful.
Xhip is also a good synth but the UI is pretty confusing.

Then, I would consider the following synths:

Nexus - comes with ton of great read-to-use sounds, expansions are great. Not cheap, especially once you start expanding it.

Blue - has a TON of banks available for it (I think I have 30+ banks = thousands of sounds). Excels at everything. One of my favorite synths and the best cost:benefit of any synth, IMO.

Z3TA+ - great synth, many banks available for download.

Albino 3 - great synth, many banks available on the Rob Papen/KVR websites, but not as many as Blue. Great for leads.

I just wanted to mention Sylenth1. Sounds really good, and has a simple layout!
