| Honestly, when you're in the area it doesn't seem that bad. A few homeless / crackheads but I've never felt I was in real. There are usually cops around too. That said, I wouldn't walk more than a block from the clubs. |

thats true....overtown is no joke tho.....drove thru in the day time......cant imagine it at night |

Yeah, I've been around there during the day too... not cool. If I was a lady I would not be walking around the area alone, day or night... so ladies, bring a crew.
If you stay very close to the clubs everything should be cool. |

| yea i heard that..especially karu-y from what people said last year that just over the tracks is one of the worst ghettos in the country...yet karu-u ultra lounge is one of the most gorgeous layouts and set ups of a club ive seen...either way thank god theres cops around all over, especially for WMC |

That's true for most big clubs in most cities. All the huge clubs in DC are in hole neighborhoods. It's because the rent is lower and there tend to be more large warehouse spaces in those areas.
They are redeveloping the area around Space tho, hence all the problems those clubs have been having with the city government lately. |

| if you stay around the clubs you're okay, since there are cops usually around and for WMC there'll be more than usual. But don't venture north/northwest from that area around Space and Pawnshop. It gets real ugly, real scary, real fast. Do not stop under any bridges around there, or stop for anything for that matter. The crackheads and bums roaming will hardly, or shouldn't be a nuisance. When you're in downtown, head straight for a parking lot if you're in a car. I don't really suggest parking on the side streets since bums try to tell you they'll take care of your car for like 5 bones. My friend had his car broken into while he left it on the street and I've heard several of the same stories before. Never have I had a problem when parking in the lots. Even when coming out at like 11 am.:crazy: if i come up with anything else i'll let you guys know. |

| Last year during the M_nus party at Pawn Shop, there was a high speed persuit that ended about a block down the street from the club with the cops shooting and killing the perp. We came out in the morning and saw a whole fleet of cruisers just a few hundred yards away. Definately a crazy moment. |

think that was saturday night....cuz i remember coming out of Twilo and saw them every where |
