To be fair, I believe she had some kind of cancer or illness that made her lose a lot of weight. That's what she said anyway. Could just be all that anonymous seaman she's ingested over the years.

I'm not even talking about her weight loss, her face looks totally different than it did when she first started out. She looks freaky to me now. I'd google for some before/after pics but I'm at work and god knows what I would get if I search for her name

I never heard the cancer thing either, not that I follow jenna jameson so closely that I would. If it was an "illness" it was more likely a coke or meth addiction

What is with the stigma on porn "Actresses"? I mean, it's obviously a job that doesn't require a great deal of talent, but how is this far different from many other celebrity-type occupations?

Is resentment of it honestly a following for the demonizing of free sex? Free love? Libertine ideals? Seems a rather prudish stance to take on something that everyone appears that have an interest in, one way or another.

Yes, you're most likely being sarcastic/playing Devil's advocate....but would you date a porn actress, or any woman involved in the sex trade? Would you bring her home proudly to your parents/family/other?

I am also playing Devil's advocate. :p

Oh, sorry - yeah, I thought you were being sarcastic. It doesn't matter though - my question of that rationale still remains.

Exactly - there is a very strong stigma on that sort of thing, and that is what I am trying to get through. I suppose it doesn't even have to apply to adult film, but generally promiscuous women as well. I am well aware of a society deeply engrained with chauvinism and double-standards, and I think the remnants of this issue still remaining are what make it so important. That is, I am really not a possessive personw hen it comes to girlfriends, yet I still would not like mine sleeping around with other guys. Is it because monogamy is such a "natural" inclination or is it purely a social standard? Often humans are paraded as comparison for a species that "mates for life", but I see humans sleeping around with multiple partners far more often than not. :p

So what is it besides reasonable health issues that put a stigma on the activity of sleeping around? I just think there's far more to it than a mere history of taboo consideration, especially since sex has been regarded in such a wide variety of different ways from culture to culture.

A simple "No, I wouldn't bring a whore home to mom" would do. :o
Halcyon+On+On
Why does mommy disapprove of whores though? Why do we have the standards that we do?
Silky Johnson
I know why I have the standards I do. I can't speak for everyone else.

Halcyon+On+On
I totally believe that you think you know why you have the standards that you do. I doubt you actually do though.
Silky Johnson
Oh off.

edit:
