Have you even tried any of them?

Yes, I have had soy milk, soy cheese and soy ice cream. I find all of them foul tasting substitutes, and I don't need to try more than three of them to come to a better better opinion. I had a vegan roommate, and she was the most flatulent person I have ever known.

Vegans/vegetarians tend to get sick more often than...regular eaters? I don't what to say :p

For some reason I don't.

Maybe because I've met him.

Also, a comma after sorry was not required to make the sentence work.
Allied Nations

...And you don't believe in "grammar police", so you really don't.
Allied Nations

It's only because you aren't used to them. I've been a vegan for 17 years, and anything that is meat or dairy tastes extremely foul to me. In fact, I had unwittingly bitten into something with cheese a few weeks ago and it tasted like a barn to me.

There are actually a lot of substitutes in the "meat" department that mimick meat virtually perfectly (you'll find some if you ever eat at a few california vegan restaurants).

There are also a host of different brands and substitutes, which renders it impossible for someone who has only had minimal exposure to base an opinion that is decisive.

Of course, this is all besides the point that a vegetarian diet has been consistently proven to be much healthier than one which includes the eating of dead animals.

= bottom line

It's funny to see everyone going "Vegans fart a lot!" "Vegans get sick more!" "Vegans blah blah blah" because 1 personal aquaintance or experince cemented their idea of what "Vegans" are. I fart more than your vegan friend, especially after some hearty burger king.
