Whats up my fellow TA's, I have been a long time TA, but I have finally decided to join the ranks of those that write stuff on these boards. Anyways, I am driving across country from New York to San Diego. A buddy of mine is moving to San Diego, so I decided to take a vacation and join him on the drive. So our trip sort of looks like this:

Jan 24th: NYC -> Chicago
Jan 25th: Chicago -> Denver
Jan 27th: Denver -> Vegas
Jan 28th: Vegas -> South Lake Tahoe
Jan 30th: Tahoe -> San Fran
Jan 31st: San Fran -> San Diego

I fly back to NY on the 4th (Yeah I know, superbowl sunday, sucks). Anyways, I was looking through the San Diego events, and it looks like I am missing the big names by like a week. I wanted some advice on places to go, clubs to party at, and DJ's to rock out to at some these places. I enjoy listening to local talent, so that would be cool. We were also planning a trip to mexico because it is so close, and I wanted to know if anyone had ventured down past the border to party. Thanks for the help.

Lake Tahoe - San Francisco
San Francisco - Los Angeles
Los Angles - Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon - Roswell, NM
Roswell - Austin, TX
Austin TX - Dallas, TX
Dallas, TX - Columbus, OH
Columbus, OH - New York City!!!!

damn...all i can say is prepare for the trip of ur life... hahaah there's a lot of weird we saw in the "middle of nowhere USA"

It will no doubt be a great experience, I now have a new appreciate for the size and diversity that is the USA. I see you are taking the northerly route, that is next on my list, definitely would like to check out Yosemite or Rushmore.

Chicago is an awesome place not only for music, but dare I say it...architecture (thats what I do). Definitely some psytrance parties there. I would recommend Austin, texas as 2nd best town of the midwest, but you aren't going in that direction...next time.

As far as SD goes, don't know of any. What about LA? Theres probablys omething going on there...usually always is every weekend.

Have fun, drive safe and blast some trance along the way...it will definitely make the drive more fun. :haha:

Mecca, remember when we drove through the cornfield at night to Roswell with no headlights, in the middle of the Lightning Storm, and Rammstein blasting? hahahahah... we need to do that again.

I once drove from LA to New Jersey/NY with my uncle's 4 cylinder motor home that did not go past 55 mph!

Thats when I found out that trucks can go really fast! Here in California their speed limit is 55 so you would think trucks are slow.

Those 18 wheelers would make the motor home shake when it would fly right by you!

You'll def see some weird things, great experience!

In case he doesn't see this thread, I'd PM "DjWoody" directly. He's played regularly south of the border. I'm sure he knows the great parties and venues to hit down there, and would be more than happy to direct you, being the cool dude that he is. ;)

Hey may even have some advice on the San Diego parties as well.

Yeah I wanted to go to LA, but I have heard its just too much to handle sometimes. I wanna just listen to music, and chill with the locals. Everybody that I know that drove across country told me I am going to see some wierd stuff along the way in the middle of the country. I honestly cannot wait to start this trip.

If there is an awesome show in LA that I cannot miss, maybe someone can tell me, and maybe I could make an appearance...
