WOW I was so excited to hear this set!!! then i listened and holy fak, so glad i missed it!! What the fak happened to carls killer beats, and how the fak you gonna dance to this crap??? I've seen him a couple times in mtl and he never played crap like this...Don't get me wrong I'm a carl addict, but wtf is up with this??? and was anyone there? How did you groove to this garbage?

"pumpin' my fists to minimal"

Allied Nations
recording doesnt really do it justice...

there is so much bass that you're only hearing at stereo- regardless of how this recording sounds, the set was ing slamming, and I was there :)

he was also playing the opening slot and i cant remember what section of the set this was
ninjahola
Stereo's bass doesn't change the minimalistic tones of carls style in this hour section of his set. I agree though, I can't seriously comment on the set, I wasn't there...however....I've seen carl sweating his fat ass off to some dirty ass techno and house beats, I just don't see him doing the same to this kind of music, and for me that was half the show...Seeing the fat man spinning off three to four decks sometimes, and playing some crazy ass beats that are worth dancing to, cuz for me, not one of the tracks in this section of his set is danceable... It also seems to me that 2-3 years ago he wouldn't have played ONE of those tracks in his sets.
Enjoy

alright so it wasn't to carl cox type of show you would see in europe or whatever but i found it to be fairly top notch. started of a little slower than usual, a little tech-house influence but towards the end basslines were throbbing. i wouldn't go as far as calling it minimal. think that word is being taken for granted these. highlight of the night: steve mulder: high frequency!
