learning how to ski was fun. i got dragged on blues after only about 3 hours by my friends. flew out of control after hitting a mogul just before a turn and narrowly missed faceplanting a rock.

still, when i wasn't pushing it way past the reasonable limit for my first day ever skiing, i thought it was a ton of fun. i wish i had been able to take more time getting comfortable with turning and balance, then gone to sleep to rest up and come back for a 2nd day. my water skiing instinct bit me in the ass, because my default was wanting to lean forward and bend my knees whenever things got tricky (i was told that doing the opposite was more optimal). the pattern was, right when i thought i was getting the hang of something, my friends dragged me on something much harder and it made me lose progress due to going out of control and reverting to water ski pose when i lost confidence. i might go again, but i want to have time to do it right next time.
