As much as I hate Apple, this thing is actually pretty cool. The specs are decent (could use more HD space), and the price is a little high, but that's to be expected considering it's a Mac and it's "new" and . Would make for a hell of a machine for mp3 DJs. |
 Last person I would have expected to say that. :( lol.
One usb port, no optical etc. :S Looks a bit ho hum to me. |

| wait a year and the $1200 premium you pay for the SSD (over p-SATA) hd will halve in price... guaranteed. |

Ahhh yes that's a lovely one. The screen is a bit squintish but it's done well. |

This would be cool for a secondary notebook around the house or at the office, but with only wireless, no optical drive, and the fact that you have to send the computer away to have a battery replacement, it's not practical for a main system.
Also, try upgrading through Apple for the HDD upgrade and see a nice $1400 price-tag. Doh. |

it, waste of time
Every powerbook has died b/c of overheating. 90% of all HDs have to be replaced.
Think about how thin this unit is ... there will be no room for proper cooling. |

| It's nice, but you can't replace the hard drive or ram, also that Asus Eee pc has the potential to run WinXP, and they are coming out with a bigger screen version. |

Why can't you replace the HDD or RAM?
Also..you can't run WinXP? I thought any Mac could run any system (Windows, Linux, etc.) |

Seriously that.
Once we had to replace the power supply from a G5 @ work, some apple dealer charged us $300.00 and they wanted our old supply to send back to "Apple"
APPLE! |

You can't replace the hard drive or ram or the battery or anything for that matter because it is sealed inside the case, I guess if you open it it voids your warranty.
The Mac can run whatever you want, I was talking about the EEE PC though, you can install windows xp on it instead of the linux distro it ships with. |
