great night.
great set from markus, especially the first two hours.
best sound BY FAR ever at mighty. they did some upgrades this week and the bass is insane...must admit I was worried about how markus would sound on the system the place is known for since rolling basslines are a huge part of his style.
didn't get to hear much of syd's opening set but what I heard was pretty good.
taj & dh came out ripping. bang bang bang. didn't expect so much bang! maybe a little too much bang lol.
markus being dead tired as he played in england/ireland friday/saturday night then coming to SF was prob the most animated I've ever seen him live...eh, no doubt...I think Markus fancies Mighty bigtime. the setting in the place with the shockingly amazing sound and markus' style fit perfectly together.
hit up endup with all those who went while waiting for the bus...lots of faces there...even the spundae crew!
taj and dmadix were playing great stuff...didn't get to hear a whole lot though before I had to bail.
now on the bus just hoping I don't end up passing out and find myself an hour past my stop. only making this post to keep me occupied lol. |

I would have to agree with Dave. Markus was off the hook last night. He was totally into it, and the crowd. Like dave said, he was very animated, for sure.
I've never been to mighty before, so I was pleasantly surprised by the sound. I was almost worried at first knowing Markus' basslines and knowing it was a smaller club. But I was totally blown away at how good the sound was. Very clear.
I missed markus @ slide in Oct due to being too hung over from the night before. I told myself I wasn't going to miss this one, and I'm glad I didn't. Amazing Night!!
Ran into rizo, hope you are ok today. Told me you probably wouldn't remember much. ha ha ha.
Hope to run into some of you guys @ 1015 for Menno. |
