Any suggestions on a foot pedal?

I'm looking for a foot pedal for playing piano on my MIDI keyboard, mostly to link to the sustain portion of my piano VST, although it would be nice if I could link it to any pedal/other MIDI controllable object. However, I've never really seen these before, and don't know anything about them and what not.
Anyone have experience with these and have some good recommendations, preferably cheap? |

You're looking for a sustain pedal. Sustain pedals have such a simple design so price doesn't matter much.
Just make sure you get one that has a reverse polarity switch.
Expression pedals (for controlling volume, filters, etc.) is a different matter.
I made the mistake buying a cheap one. The response was choppy and it didn't even reach full range.
Basically, it was useless. |
