I always find it hillarious when almost every girl always gives this same generic answer, and then half of them end up with douchebags. :wtf:
Probably because most of these terms are too general, and aren't very descriptive of someone's unique personality. |
This is the result of two factors:
1. The overwhelming majority of women do not know what actually attracts them.
2. People very rarely approach relationships systematically, e.g. checking off criteria on a list. Instead, they make such decisions intuitively (drawing on the actual factors that cause them to be attracted to a man, which they are not consciously aware of.)
Consequently, women often end up with "douchebags" because those men possess the characteristics that those women are actually looking for in a mate, as opposed to those that they believe they are looking for. This split tends to form along a cultural/biological divide, i.e. the characteristics women think they are seeking are determined culturally, and the characteristics that they are actually seeking are determined biologically.
With that same fact in mind... this thread is rather pointless. |
