Get Physical invite Canadian electro-pop duo Junior Boys to DJ the next instalment in the Body Language mix series.
Known more for their sweet pop records Last Exit and So This Is Goodbye than their occasional DJ sets, Junior Boys are a surprising choice for the mix series, which has previously been helmed by M.A.N.D.Y., DJ T., Jesse Rose, Dixon and Château Flight.
Mixed in between sessions for the new Junior Boys LP, Body Language Six sees Matt Didemus and Jeremy Greenspan mapping their interests and influences, which span the Balearic (Prins Thomas, Studio), the minimal (Nine, Love Nine, Kreon & Lemo, Steadycam), the ravey (Radio Slave, Matthew Dear) and selections from Junior Boys friends and family (Kelley Polar, former Junior Boy Johnny Dark as Stereo Image, Junior Boys drummer f0st3r). There is also one previously unreleased Junior Boys track, ‘No Kinda Man’, born out of the So This Is Goodbye sessions, as well as JB-like electro-pop in the form of Bill Nelson’s ‘When Your Dream Of Perfect Beauty Comes True’ from 1982.

| I absolutely love Junior Boys, that ofc doesn't automatically make this comp good, but the tracklist looks interesting so i'll definitely gonna give it a listen and come back with an opinion. |

I could take a first listen now....track selection is good though things often have to grow on me first. However the transitions aren't perfect sometimes....You can tell that they aren't popular as DJs. Sometimes it sounds like they used a 30 sec fade-in/fade-out automation... However it's definately not anything that would make this release disappoint. |
