I highly reccomend the following, based on previous winter/summerlicious experiences and working in the biz:
Truffles at The Four Seasons (Worked at FS...Chef Kat was Iron Chef for a bit)
Bistro 990 (used to entertain clients there...excellent apps)
Pangea (mmmmmmmmmmmm)
Hemishperes at The Metropolitan Hotel (used to work at the Met)
Senses @ The SoHo Met (same as above - VERY contemporary)
Katsura @ The Westin Prince Hotel (I work at WPH now...excellent Japanese)
Jump (mmmmmmmmmmmmmm)
Canoe (obviously)
Il Posto (Entertained clients there when working at Four Seasons)
My top picks are Truffles, Canoe and Pangea.

| I called first thing in the morning when reservations began and Canoe was booked solid on the weekends. Definitely a restaurant to check out if you can go on a week night or have the AmEx Front of Line privledges. |
