For me the first dance music I started listening to was cheesy dance back in mid-1999 (a new dance radio station started broadcasting in Sydney and I thought i'd give it a try).
Straight away I started to prefer the melodic sounds of trance, and starting downloading mp3s of that sort of stuff. Looking back through my directories now, the oldest dance/trance track I can find is Sash! - Encore en Fuis, followed by Bellissma and the Signum Remix of After Love. Then I bought a copy of MOS Trance Nation 3 and I was hooked. Best album I've ever bought.
Been a convert ever since then :)
heh .. it makes me shudder to think that I used to have long hair and go to heavy metal concerts and wear Metallica t-shirts. lol |

Holy smoke my friend....This tune is so f**king awesome...Heard that one in the late 95 on a mayday cd....
But my started wiht tunes like MOM-We are different and that stuff from the early MOM time....And tunes like Moby-Go..... |

| It was more like a set by Oakey Live from Gatecrasher Lotherton Hall. But songs were Not Over Yet[Unfinished Mix] and BT - Godspeed. I think I listened to that song 15 times in a row! I loved it and still do! |

Hehe, ... for me it was all the light cheesy tracks that first got me wondering about Trance -
3 tracks
Tukan - Light a Rainbow
Blank and Jones - Beyond Time
Infernal - Sunrise
I then went looking for more - and fell upon this site to read a poll about which Gouryella song was the best - course i had barely heard of them and went and downloaded Wahalla - when i got to about 2:00, i was just stunned, it was awesome:D |
