Christ, not you again. You weren't wanted here the first time around, what makes you think things would be different now?

way to go on misinterpreting the whole of the Indigo2 event press release.

1/2 the show will be watching the DVD footage from Copenhagen, the other 3 hrs will be tiesto live from midnight-3.

Thats why its called a release party, not a recording party :D

For my part... been there, done that - and like I said, back in Amsterdam 6 years ago- actually enjoyed it. I wanted to get some opinions from users here to share with people who I know, who're making the effort to go.

I think they will be disappointed.

I also think that those who don't know and couldn't care will hype it as the best thing to happen to India since independence. For some reason - that really bothers me.

There are too many DJs out there who deserve better; but then that's life isn't it?

Ok, looking at it relatively, 50$ is just over 2000 Rs. If you see that entrance to every club and it's younger brother is around 1000 Rs, with stags either paying more or being refused entry, that doesn't seem like much to watch a one time legend, number 1 dj a few years back, and most importantly, for most Indians, their first Tiesto gig.

If you're asking about yourself, I'd say skip it, unless some of your contacts are getting you in for free, but I'd say even the flight fare isn't worth it. But for people in India, who've heard and followed Tiesto for years, and have never seen him live, they should make a night of it. Sure it would be paying a bit more than they should, Sure there are a lot more Dj's worth a lot less at the moment, and Sure, the tracklist will be both predictable and disappointing, if you haven't seen Tiesto, and may not be traveling abroad to see him in the near future, you should grab this opportunity.

Why is he playing in Hyderabad though?

saw him in december last year and i enjoyed the gig.

it was in my hometown though so i didn't need to travel that much

Correction: His promoter charges you 100.00 when he books Tiesto, cos he knows he can get away with it.

Which Tiesto is perfectly happy to go along with.

And thats exactly the problem, people are paying for a 'tiesto' gig.

If you are not into what he is playing, then who cares if it is Tiesto. If you ARE into what he is playing, then great! The choice is simple, if you like his music, go for it.

IMO $50 is just too much, and thats from living in Canada, let alone in India! $50 should be able to feed a small army, no? I've never paid that much to see just one DJ.

Wait for JooF to come back to India, and go hear real trance.
