Last night was very good, about a bet around 1400 to make 1100, but I was already down for the week, so now ive swung it around to make back all my money. Pretty much looking to make some small bets tonight as Fridays are my poker nights and I hate not being by a computer for half time bets on busy nights ($$$$$). So gonna stick, about 100 on each of these bets and hope for the best-
Celtics -6 (its at -6.5 now, still would take)
Blazers -4 (at -4.5 now, and if it goes any higher I wouldnt touch)
Pacers +2 (still thinkin about this one, gonna wait til near the game to make a decision, as long as the line doesnt move too much)
Might do a parlay with some of these and add Lakers ML to it, they should smoke denver but -8 is pretty high to take on a parlay lol. |

GO WASHINGTON ML 115+
MILWAUKEE —
Darren Hauck/Associated Press
Stephon Marbury was placed on the active roster after the Knicks traded two players.
The Knicks had only eight players healthy and present for their game against the Milwaukee Bucks — the minimum number allowed under N.B.A. rules. Marbury had to dress just to avoid a forfeit.
D’Antoni offered Marbury more than that. After the Knicks traded guard Jamal Crawford and two other players in the afternoon, D’Antoni said he approached Marbury and offered him 30 to 35 minutes of playing time. Marbury, who had spent 10 straight games on the inactive list, declined.
“When the trades went down this afternoon, I said, ‘Look Steph, one of the principals are gone, Jamal Crawford. There’s 30-35 minutes out there, and they’re yours if you want them. Are you ready to go?’ ” D’Antoni said.
According to D’Antoni, Marbury replied that he “wasn’t comfortable with the situation, and he did not want to play. So at that point, I go, ‘O.K., that’s your decision, and that’s fine.’ That’s it.”
The Knicks kept the game close for one half Friday but fatigue set in and they were routed, 104-87, and fell to 6-6.
D’Antoni seemed perturbed by Marbury’s decision. For the first time, he referred to the Marbury saga as a distraction.
Marbury was vague, but he did not deny D’Antoni’s version of the events.
“The only thing I’m at liberty to say is that I was told that they were moving forward and” — Marbury then took a long pause — “I’m not the person that chooses who plays and who doesn’t. That’s the only thing that I’m able to say.”
Asked if he refused to play, Marbury repeated, “That’s the only thing that I’m able to say.”
The consequences of Marbury’s refusal are not yet clear. D’Antoni said he did not consider it insubordination and insisted, “I’m not mad at Steph; I understand.”
But the episode might prompt team officials to banish Marbury from games and practices until his fate is settled. Marbury has had preliminary talks with the team president Donnie Walsh about a buyout, but no deal is imminent.
Marbury has been fuming since opening night, when he was on the active roster but did not play. He went on the inactive list two nights later — at his own request, according to D’Antoni — and remained there until Friday.
“I thought it was an opportunity for him to play, and I was kind of hoping,” D’Antoni said. “But at the same time, there’s consideration of a lot of guys in that locker room that are giving their hearts out. And those are the guys that I’m going to go on with, and those are the guys that I’m going to love, and those are the guys that are going to compete every night.”
In separate deals Friday, the Knicks sent Crawford to Golden State and Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins to the Los Angeles Clippers. Their three new players — Al Harrington, Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley — are not yet with the team.
Also, four Knicks did not travel to Milwaukee — Jerome James, who is attending to family matters, and the injured players Eddy Curry, Jared Jeffries and Danilo Gallinari. One of those players will surely replace Marbury for Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards.
Harrington, Thomas and Mobley are expected in New York on Saturday, but are not expected to be cleared in time for the game.
“We need to go forward,” D’Antoni said, turning feisty. “And we got a new team coming in starting Tuesday, and we’re going to get this done. And we’re going to get in the playoffs and we’re going to have a good team and the Knicks fans are going to be really happy the next few years.”
The players were shocked by the two deals, especially the decision to trade the immensely popular Crawford. No one felt the loss more than Robinson, who was 13 when he first met Crawford. Both are Seattle natives.
“He’s like a brother to me,” Robinson said.
But players knew exactly why the deals were made — for salary cap space in 2010, and for the potential prize that awaits.
“For LeBron,” Robinson said, referring to the Cleveland star LeBron James. “Everybody knows. Everybody’s got to see the bigger picture.” |

god what a choke, im lucky at last minute my friend convinced me to put a parlay of Jets ML, Indy ML, and Giants -3, I turned $50 into $600 and took me outta the hole to make money today..but man if Denver didnt screw me over, I would of been up close to $2000 on the day alone, and cashed out this week close to $3,000 tomorrow at the bookies.
NBA went well, just my luck in NFL, the one random team I pick to hit the ML with giants and cowboys (my guaranteed parlay hitters) ends up being the big upset of the week bah!
btw GO GO JETS, saved my ass along with INDY! |
