Greets all,

I'm currently using a Sony MiniDisc player for portable music, but I'm looking to step up to one of the portable hard drive MP3 players.

Does anyone here own one (I'm talking about stuff like Apple iPod, Nomad Jukebox 3 etc)? What are they like? Are they worth the cost?

Cheers :)

I have a creative jukebox 6 gig, it aint exactly go running portable, a bit bigger than a cd player. But it is an amazing mp3 player. Good quality sound, 6 gig storage, you can record onto it, it takes wma, mp3 and wav files

It does everything, check it out on their site :) I would recommend it, actually i have used mine so much it over heated and now has gone a bit funny. Heh :) But it is ok now :)

No it doesnt to my knowledge, u can get mp3 players that use cds, and they read the mp3s off the cd, or you can get solid state mp3 players that you download the mp3s onto :)

If you load these MP3 players with a live set, can you set up cue points between the tracks so you can skip forward or back?

Oh well, pity about that. Would be nice to skip into the mp3, mind you there is a CUE point add-in for WinAmp that allows you to do that, so there's always hope for the future...
