has anyone tried opening up his djm800?

why?

my effects button is jammed...yeah complete bummer.im so sure that its becuase of my brother who has very heavy hands.i was hoping that anyone else here has had the same experience and was ABLE to fix it.

sometimes, wen i turn the power on, its engaged alredy

yea i opened mine to change the tightness of the platter. had a look inside that got cold feet and screwed it back together :tongue2

It should be too complicated. Just start taking it apart, and take pictures every few steps, so you remember how it goes back together. Usually, it looks a lot harder than it is...its really just a bunch of circuit boards and wires ;)

I opened my Xone92 few weeks ago and it was easy...but having to "unjam" a button that it directly on a PCB, this could be a tricky part. Fortunatly, the effect button is near a corner so you might have some luck if it's not too far on a PCB.

Just be careful. Opening your mixer will void your warranty and messing on a PCB may result to damage your mixer.

Yea that's all fine and good until you open something and something just springs and you cannot stick it back in no matter what.
Or even worse, you are gently opening something and you hear that snap.

Those things only really happened to me once. If its nothing mechanical you usually cant go wrong unless you do something stupid.
