Right...
I'm looking for a program similar to Acid - basically I need something I can quickly edit loops to a certain length with and something that automatically renders each channel into a separate file. I normally use Acid for this sort of thing but lately it's started crashing every time I put an mp3 file into it and I just cannot understand why... and the developers don't seem to have any ideas either. I can't really explain it any better than that but if you've ever used Acid you'll know what I mean :p
Oh, and no - Ableton Live is not an option. |

Double edit:
I have Live. It's not what I'm looking for (in this particular case). That is why I asked in the first place. |

I love acid, weird that it is acting out on you. I haven't used acid much since i got fl studio though. This was no help at all, i know. But i just had to give my testimonial to acid. |

I know it's an issue on my end, it never used to happen on my old PC. Nobody seems to have any idea what's causing it either... so that's why I have to seek for alternatives for now. |

Nightshift |
1. Open FLStudio
2. File --> Import ---> Beat to slice and chose the loop you want to slice
3. Choose folder to store the wav files (default Image-line/FLStudio/Data/Patches/Sliced Beats)
4. Change target to say: Sampler channels. (this will render every sound in the loop into a seperate file)
5. Close FLStudio.
6. Check folder where you decided to store your sliced beats in step #3.
And im pretty sure if you don't have FLStudio that this can be done in the demo.
Let me know how it works for ya man. |
