LOL....the administrator hasn't been in the past 2 days. In all honesty, I don't think she's going to do anything about it. :/ |

I seem to recall an incident where my wife (LPN) reported something the DON did not do (that should have been done). I don't think any disciplinary action followed. Anyway, there seems to be a lot of back biting in health care - nursing homes, especially. Good money, but Christ on pogo stick there's no way I could do it for a living. |

Well not all facilities are like that, or even like the one I work at. There's both good and bad, like all things. |

My wife has since moved into private duty, which is overall much better. The problem with private duty lies in getting set up with a patient who has wacked out family members. :whip: |

Well, if you're making the joke I think you're making...technically it isn't "wrong" to administer an analgesic anally. If the patient is vomiting, then rectally is the actually the best route. Well, provided there's no diarrhea. :o |

LOL, well that's part of the job!
But yeah, it's a great option...I will probably do community nursing for a few years myself. :) |

um whistle blowers are never treated the right way, just go read up on that doctor in queensland that was killing all the patients and see what happened to the nurse that reported him..... |
