STEVE LAWLER ANNOUNCES LIGHTS OUT WMC 2008 EVENT

Steve Lawler is proud to announce the next instalment of his legendary Lights Out parties at this year’s WMC.

Park West (formerly Stereo, next door to Space) will house the event on Thursday March 27th as Steve invites the crème de la crème of exciting talent with Audiofly, Clive Henry, Jamie Jones and Livio & Roby on the bill. Plus a Very Special Guest soon to be announced!

Steve comments: “The Lights Out party is exactly that - the room is dark so you can get lost in the music. Lights Out is not about glitz or glamour, its simply about getting lost in the music. I am proud that it is our seventh year and we’re now one of the longest-running events at Winter Music Conference. I change venues every year to bring something fresh.”

Clive Henry will return to play for Lights Out as he does every year. Steve adds that Clive “opens the room better than anyone I know could ever do.” Audiofly are currently enjoying touring the globe with gigs from Columbia to Eastern Europe and the US; while king of cool Jamie Jones is working on his debut artist album, scheduled for a 2008 release – along with touring a live show to accompany the album. Bucharest based Livio & Roby are currently remixing the new UNKLE single and have a new release upcoming on Lawler’s digital only label. Viva. Meanwhile, Steve Lawler’s production spree continues apace with two new singles signed to leading electronic labels. Firstly, his ‘21st Century Ketchup’ has been signed by Ali (Dubfire) for his Sci+Tec label, whilst ‘Femme Fatale’ has been signed by Josh Wink for release on Ovum. Expect to hear both at WMC.

The venue will be decked out in trademark Lights Out theme as Steve brings in a production team to cover the venue in webbed netting, giving the dance floor a low-ceiling, no nonsense rave vibe.

Just got my ticket! $30 is a STEAL for this party.

I believe he played midnight to 6 or 8 last year?

I think he finished up at about 6 last year... maybe a little after. I know I left around 8 and M.A.N.D.Y. had been going for a bit.

I know about a dozen of us fall all over each other every time last years event comes up but damn..... so, so good. Gypsy knows what i'm talking about.

Just curious to know if you've seen Junior Boys or Noze before? Or are you just saying that based on what myspace says?
