now would be a great time to PM me your numbers. I will not pay $60/hour for tutoring, nor will I put up with a 40 on my first quiz.

What are we talking about here? Matrix mechanics? Wave mechanics?

And why the hell is an Arch. student taking Quantum Mechanics? Do you like bad grades, and suffering?

Wave mechanics, and no.

I just found out that in order for me to pursue a Master's degree in Architecture, I need to have a minimum of 6 hours in Space Architecture and Structure Development, one of those courses requiring Quant.Mech. It's the latest from the N.A.A.B. accredited schools (Univ. Houston, Syracuse University). Whether I transfer to Syracuse for grad school or stay in this hole city, I need to have that class.

Apparently, recently graduated architects are stupid. I guess they're the one's causing buildings to collapse or something. This makes me wanna vomit green pea soup on people.

Sucks for you. The guy I work for teaches QM so if you want to send me any questions I'll see if I can help.

! My bad Jake.

Astrophysics. Not Quantum. I was reading a brief section on radiation and got brained there for a minute.

defintely. I'll keep you posted.

Ahhh well thats actually better for you. I was wondering why they'd want you to do QM since it really only applies to things on the molecular level.

I dont know why there would be a Heisenberg diagram in the middle of the page (that I do recognize from heat waves and wavelengths), but I got carried away.

also, 4 hours of sleep within the last 2 days doesnt help in thinking straight. I really hate Dr. Dubois.

Get some sleep or you won't be able to properly form new memories.

I think a Heisenberg type 'uncertainty' can occur anytime you measure two functions that do not commute according to the rules of operator algebra. Basically it means that order of measurement matters. If you measure one quantity first you will not be able to measure the second quantity with the same precision. There will be an 'uncertainty'.

I've got a friend who's a PhD student here at SLAC (stanford linear accelerator center) smashing small things that might not exist into other small things that might not exist at close to the speed of light and seeing what happens. fly to California and he'd probably give you some help, not sure if that's really the field though.

sounds like someone mixed up the meanings of space (one as in an interior space the other as in outer space), because it's still beyond me why an architect needs to know more modern physics than a mechanical or aerospace engineer.
