What remix did John Beaver play of carte blanche. It was pretty tight, nothing like the original, but still good.

If I'm correct that would be the new Cosmic Gate Remix of it.

Pro's:
Marcus's Set - Fantastic, also a very nice guy who took time out to talk with his fans.
Ferry's Set - Unbelievable, a real trip down memory lane there at the end. Wonderful moment there with all the flags waving and the confetti.
John B's set, he set the crowd off with the right mood. Also for his great friendliness and hospitality. He deserves an award or something.
Undercover SFPD was doing quite an crackdown operation. I suppose this is a mix pro/con depending on how you look at it.
Good sound quality and visuals from skills during their up time
Con's:
- The power outage happened more or less at Tiesto's "fire it up" point of the set, so a lot of people were left disappointed. I heard Dyloot say back stage that "everybody's coming for Tiesto", so I can only imagine how shocked Skills is right now. I also heard him say that Tiesto was not going to be allowed any encore or songs past 2:00, so I guess it wasn't the worst thing that could have happened. I wouldn't expect this from an event that was selling $80 tickets, however. I hope skills takes care of their customers, Henry and I talked to a couple first timers who were left with a very bad impression of the scene in general.
- Dyloot kicking John B's parents off of the back of the stage during the middle of his performance. I though it was very inconsiderate and they already had permission from other skills staff. John continued to get the crowd very excited regardless of the situation
- Security changing their mind about the definition of credentials half way through the show... you kind of had to play chutes and ladders with this one.
- This was my first experience with Daly City PD, and I was very unimpressed. Last time I checked, pushing the crowd back with your motorcycles is neither professional, effective or safe. I'm not so sure they needed to be walking around wielding batons at random people either... was there a small riot or something I missed? This doesn't seem like very standard practice for an "evacuation".

I think this was great of Tiesto to say, both on his myspace, and on his website.
Here is a message for all of us who attended POP. This couldnt be helped and even though it wasent his fault, he offered some kind of apology.
I have never been impressed with Security at the venues especially these massives and big event raves we have. Thats the only real complaint I have. No more grandma's. Some of the older Security ladies were even kicking some of the Male Security guys out from where they were suppost to be or were told to stay.

To all the people that attended the show in San Francisco at the Cow Palace
I offer my sincerest apologies for the power outage.
I was waiting in the dressing room until 1.45 am, at which time I was informed that there was no way for the party to continue.
I had an amazing time for the time I was able to perform and I look forward to coming back to San Francisco very soon.
Quite Honestly, this is one reason I do not attend very many raves nowadays.... I can see how you would want to appeal to a younger audience, but its hurting the scene more than its building it. Can we limit the younger audience raves?
I can understand being young and stuff, and seeing how the power outage videos are popping up all over youtube.. but man, seriously stfu.
Listen closely to what this one patron is saying. Kinda pissed me off a bit.

The only thing that i thought was pretty ridiculous was that they charged $3.25 for water. $3 is ok.. $4 is ok.. but $3.25!? Luckily i found at least $3 worth of quarters on the floor lol.

mobius, you realize that the Cow Palace isn't in SF, right? It's in Daly City. Daly City PD has a completely different mindset than the SFPD on how to deal with things.
Their crackdowns during shows at the COW Palace are a bit historical. I think cracking down is good, but the methods they use are rediculous and it's intimidating, even if you are completely sober. I heard from a couple people that they had dogs sniffing people as they were leaving. There were undercovers dressed up going through the crowd just filming everything. Things like that.
That leaves a bad taste in people's mouths. And it's the biggest complaint I have always heard in the past when it comes to people having bad memories abotu the place.
Anyhow, I have never, ever seen SFPD even remotely do anything like this....SFPD is usually very lax at events like this.

wow, first bad report I've heard on Markus' set... in fact, most peeps I know won't shut up about how good it was compared to the others...I missed it though. I arrived late and waited in line forever to grab my pass.
To each his own... acutally makes me feel a little bit better know that at least someone wasn't into his set after I missed it lol

not blaming skills, but still waiting for an official explanation of what happened w/ the power going out in POP... just wondering if it's really a power outage, or a planned operation by SFPD...
I heard that PG&E had a grid completely fail. No, it wasn't some DEA covert operation. The outage affected parts of Daly City including several blocks around Cow Palace. This was early Sunday morning I heard it. I haven't really looked around to see if there's a more official word...just saying what I heard.
