In the halls of NY Predictions gone right:
We have Joe Namath in 1969 predicting that the Jets will win against the Colts and won in a mammoth upset 16-7
We have Mark Messier who in 1994 predicted that the Rangers will stave off elimination against the Devils and delivered by scoring a hat trick in the 3rd period to bring it to a 7th game
We now have Plaxico Burress who predicted that the Giants will beat the Patriots in this Super Bowl. He caught the winning touchdown in a mammoth upset 17-14 over the previously undefeated Patriots |
