with the need to take as many pictures and videos as possible during conference... how much memory do you guys bring for conference?
granted i can transfer all my data off my cards every day since i live here, but i dont know if 3GBs (1 1GB card and 1 2GB card) will do the trick every night. im actually thinking about buying another 4GB card just to be on the safe side, but then i wonder if my battery will run out. :p
so back to the original question, how do some of you guys do it? |

i want the extra memory for videos, not pictures. hence why im thinking about getting the extra 4gb. but will my camera battery actually be able to handle 7gbs? lol. i doubt it.
oh and 7gbs for each night, not the whole conference. after every night ima transfer everything to my computer. |

| I know you like your vids and all, but don't you get sick of holding the camera around? I take 30 seconds of vid per night just to have a record... |

30 second clips really dont do it for me unless i need an ID on a track. i like long videos, really gives you feel. i like to record some of the mixing and a lot of the best moments of a track. i dont need to hear the whole intro and outro but the middle where the song takes off, thats what i want.
on average id say my usual videos are in between 2-3 minutes each. the longest one ive ever taken is about 7 minutes. my arm tends to get tired after holding the camera for about 3-4 minutes, around 5 my arm starts to burn, but if its a really dope part of the set then ill take the pain.
3GBs = like 30-35 minutes of video on my camera. for a regular night at space, you know what thats more than enough. but for a night like ferry/sander/prydz/guetta... i need MORE!
so im defiantly gonna jump on another memory card (this time 4GBs) and gonna see if i can get an extra battery too.
i take the videos mostly for myself. i share them because i know some people appreciate them, but mostly its all for myself. i like looking back at videos months later and being like "ohhh, that was such a dope night!" |

should be alright, unless you KNOW you're going to take a crapload of videos. absolutely carry a coupla extra batteries -- one usually gets me only ~200 pics w/flash. |
