I'm looking to expand my trance/house/techno collection, and I figure the best way to start is by asking people their favorite beats?

Nah, the best way is to start listening to music that you discover. Why should it matter what everyone else's favourites are, it's your own favourites that you need to find out, not ours! :)

If you already know what you like, then tell us. We'll be able to suggest something similar.

Peoples favorites tend to, most of the time, be pretty good beats. It's not as though I can just tune in to the local trance station...
