Wantickets.com store (pg. 4)

Picked up my tickets at the store this afternoon. The line went around the corner of the hotel and back around 50 feet or so. From the end of the line to getting my tickets in my hand was about 1 hour.

I think next time I will get tickets mailed.

Just make sure that if you are picking up tickets that they are pickup tickets. One guy that was in line by me waited the whole time only to find out that his tickets were will-call.

Total cluster. I'm sooo glad I went with will-call.

OMFG I cannot agree more strongly. That Wantickets store was a madhouse- what the hell kind of third world system were they using in there? Not to mention the employees... "Sorry, your order is not showing up in the system." Five minutes later she looks again in the same place and surprise, there is my order.

I think it is a great concept, but just needs to be fine-tuned. I knew not to go with it the first year they offered it.

I posted this somewhere else but I got into town about 8pm Wednesday night (later than I thought I would) and once I got settled I was ready to walk down to the store. Looked up the address and saw the 8pm thing. I needed my tickets for Deadmau5 that night so I sent an email to customer service with my phone number, they called me right away and Rebecca told me if I came down right then she would get me my tickets. This was at 845 or so. I made it there just after 9 and there weren't a lot of people left, but it was still somewhat of a madhouse. I didn't have my receipts (no printer) but it still went very smooth. I heard one lady say she still hadn't taken her lunch break. It might have been chaos, but they worked their ass off to get the tickets out. Definitely seemed understaffed as well, hopefully next year is better.

WANTICKETS.COM store at WMC 2008 SUCKED HAIRY !!!

Seriously though wtf was up with that late 1800's system that the understaffed people had to manually go and look up every single ticket for every single event for every single person. I had the nightmare happen to me on Wednesday during the day before Nikki Beach. LUCKILY I went into the lobby and slithered my way in front of the line if had not done that I would have been in line another hour or so.

Keep in mind that I only chose to pickup the tickets at this pathetic store because that's what the website recommended to do. The ironic thing was that the 'chaos' they were trying avoid at the clubs/events happened smackdab in front of their face.

I hope they fix their pre-electricty system for next year.

Alphabetical order by last name would have worked soooo much better. I had 11 f'n tickets to pick up and they had to search through their pile of papers to find each and every order number. I, too, did this option because they made it sound like such a good idea. I have never had any problems with will call at any event I've ever attended, but Wantickets seemed so sure of themselves on this one. The operation was a mess. The sad thing is, that I would almost consider doing it again if they assured us of a proper system, including alphabetical order and maybe a little more utilization of something called computers?

It will get better for next year. If it doesn't they won't do it. I am going to bet that wantickets.com lost out on some $$$ because of all the confusion. They want to do this service to increase sales, not to lose them.

this is the first time they do it, they probably didn't expect so much. next year it should be better. it saved my ass for armada night because i was able to sell the hard tickets after i decided not waiting the 3 hour line.

the line was like 45 min. just to get inside

Not only was the line 45 minutes long. Once you got inside, you waited another 30 mins. Then, the ppl who handle the tickets ask for bribes to get you your own tickets that you already paid for. Some direct quotes:

"What's my motivation for getting you your tickets?"
"How much to get them faster?"

Once he handed me my tickets...

"Didn't you say you were going to give me some incentives for getting you your tickets?"

that, I'd rather pay at the door to avoid drama. Either that, I'm using ticketweb from now on. Wanttickets is shady.

Dude you should write to customer service about that. That's one thing about wanttickets, they really have good customer service (except at the store, of course). I'll bet you'll at least get the guy in trouble, and you might be able to get a $$ credit out of it. More tickets! Yay! Haha
