Try changing the saws to pulse with narrow pulse-width.
Alot of sounds which you might think are saws are actually pulse. |

Thanx will try that Eldritch. I think that a lot of the "greatness" and fullness to this sound is to do with the detuning of the oscillators. Anybody have any idea what the oscillators would be detuned by to get "that" sound?

Heres the latest try at it. I reckon I'm getting closer, this was designed in blue and I have used the inbuilt distortion to give it that edge. I think all we need now is the detuning and we're there. :D

Anybody got any ideas/tips how I can get closer with this sound?

The original has the bass hitting on the offbeat, whereas yours has it with the melody. Seperate those two to differentiate them. Also, tweak your amp and maybe the filter envelope too, to get a bit shorter-pluckier sound. There's a bit more space to the original. Yours is a bit fuller. Nothing wrong at all with what you've done, but i think those are the differences.
hmm... on a second listen it sounds like the original has a VERY short decay (really low feedback) time on the delay.. as though it only leaves room for one delay hit. That might be of use too. |

| In the advanced section of Predator, try experimenting with the attack shape and decay/release shape - can help in getting those plucky sounds...... |

Yeah its definitely a plucky sound, I've actually separated out one note here with just the synth, have a listen, its really clear: [[ LINK REMOVED ]]

Cheers Jink, that would be great. The track is the Wideboys remix of Rhianna - Shut up and drive BTW and yeah it is def phat. I dunno bout you, but I feel it has a lot to do with either the detuning of the osc's and/or a two note chord (fifth or seventh).
